Warranty

Westbury Photonics warranty covers only defects arising under normal use and do not include malfunctions or failures resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, alteration, problems with electrical power, usage not in accordance with product instructions, acts of nature, or improper installation or improper operation or repairs made by anyone other than Westbury Photonics approved personnel.

 

Westbury Photonics provides warranty on the following basis:

Pluggable optical transceivers:

-        Return window is 30 days from shipment

-        Warranty period is 3 years from shipment

Switches:

-        Return window is 30 days from shipment

-        Warranty period is 5 years from shipment

Test equipment:

-        Return window is 30 days from shipment

-        Warranty period is 3 years from shipment

Wireless equipment:

-        Return window is 30 days from shipment

-        Warranty period is 3 years from shipment

For fibre optic patchcords:

-        Return window is 30 days from shipment

-        Warranty period is 1 years from shipment

 

Westbury Photonics’ returns process requires an authorised RMA where specific instructions will be provided on where to ship any non-conforming or defective products prior to shipment to us. Westbury Photonics is unable to receive or process any returns without an authorised RMA number.

At the sole discretion of Westbury Photonics, a replacement product(s) may be shipped in advance of Westbury Photonics receipt of alleged non-conforming product.

Any repair or replacement will not extend the warranty term for the products.

In the event any returned product under an authorised RMA is considered no fault found or the alleged non-conformance is unconfirmed by Westbury Photonics after a reasonable investigation, the customer may be charged restocking fee of 15% of the purchase price, which includes the shipping cost, labour, missing parts, and any other related costs.
